Understanding Your Bill

Your gas meter is read about the same date each month. The monthly readings are recorded on your account and compared with the readings from the previous month. To calculate the amount of gas you used, we subtract the previous month’s reading from the present reading. You are then billed for the gas used at the amount established by the Alabama Public Service Commission.
